Mamadou Bodian is a political scientist and researcher at the Institut Fondamental d’Afrique Noire, or IFAN, at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal. He was also a researcher with the Sahel/West Africa program at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, or SIPRI, in Sweden.
