Hugh Pope is on the advisory board of DemocracyNext and is the co-editor of “The Keys to Democracy: Sortition as a New Model for Citizen Power,” authored by his late father, Maurice Pope. A former director at The International Crisis Group and an ex-reporter, he is the author of books on Turkey, the Middle East and Central Asia.
