Biden Says He Is Willing to Talk to Putin About Ukraine, With Conditions

Standing beside the French leader who has championed the need for dialogue with Moscow, President Biden said Thursday that he would talk to President Vladimir Putin, but only in consultation with NATO allies and only if the Russian leader indicated he was “looking for a way to end the war.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine called for the nation’s largest and oldest branch of Christian Orthodoxy to be outlawed as long as it continues to answer to church leaders in Moscow, proposing a new law that he said would ensure the nation will “never allow anyone to build an empire inside the Ukrainian soul.”
