Michael Clarke

Michael Clarke is a senior fellow at the Center for Defense Research at the Australian Defense College, in Canberra. His research is primarily focused on Chinese foreign and security policy, American grand strategy and Asia-Pacific geopolitics. He is the author of “American Grand Strategy and National Security: The Dilemmas of Primacy and Decline from the Founding to Trump” (Palgrave 2021) and editor of “The Xinjiang Emergency: Exploring the Causes and Consequences of China’s Mass Detention of Uyghurs” (Manchester University Press, 2022).
