A military court in Pakistan sentenced the country’s former intelligence chief, Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed, to 14 years in prison for abuse of power and corruption-related charges. Hameed was picked to lead the powerful Inter-Services Intelligence agency by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is now in prison after having been ousted as prime minister in 2022.
