As you might have noticed, recently we’ve been developing some new ideas about how to best take advantage of the real-time potential offered by the blog platform. Part of that has to do with our sense that blogging as a form has reached an inflection point, and that now’s a good time to experiment with new approaches. But it mainly has to do with finding ways to provide as much insight and analysis as possible.
To begin with what hasn’t changed, the WPR blog, newly renamed Trend Lines, will continue to publish my commentary and analysis on major foreign policy news, as well as that of other WPR contributors. It will also be the home of the “Global Insider” interviews we’ve been developing with Kari Lipschutz. You don’t need to update any bookmarks or RSS feeds.
Parallel to that, we’ve decided to aggregate the off-the-radar news links to a discrete channel, Leading Indicators. Instead of being collected in a news rundown, from now on each item will be a separate blog post, thereby facilitating linking and searchability. If you’d like to subscribe to the RSS feed, you can do so here.
Finally, if you would like to browse all of our short-form content, including Trend Lines and Leading Indicators posts, in one place, use our Real Time index page or the Real Time RSS feed.
Please let us know if you have any difficulty with the new pages or feeds, or if you have any other feedback you’d like to offer, using the “Contact Us” button at the top of the page.
