Myriam Benraad is a Middle East research fellow at the Institute for Research and Studies on the Arab and Muslim World in Aix-en-Provence and the Foundation for Strategic Research in Paris. She is the author of “Iraq, the Revenge of History: From Foreign Occupation to the Islamic State” (Vendémiaire, 2015).
