The UAE Nuclear Program and Proposed U.S. Nuclear Cooperation

This report calls on U.S. Congress to maintain close oversight of its past efforts to influence and stem illegal trade between the United Arab Emirates and Iran within the context of the UAE's developing nuclear program. The report notes that while the UAE in 2007 adopted a stronger export control law, as of mid-2010 it "had not issued implementing regulations for the law or fully staffed a national export control body to enforce it."
